QLD Business Boost Grants Program Round 2
The QLD Business Boost grants program Round 2 provides support to small and medium sized QLD businesses to advance improvements in their efficiency and productivity focused on:.
- Future planning
- Specialised and automated software
- Staff management, development and planning.
Eligibility for the QLD Business Boost Grants Program Round 2
To be eligible for the QLD Business Boost Grants Program round 2 your business must:
- Have and active ABN and be headquartered in QLD
- Have fewer than 20 employees (by count not full time equivalents)
- Have 2021 – 2022 revenue between $300,000 and $600,000
- Have a public available web presence such as website, social media pages.
- Not obtained funding under Round 1
- Not be not be insolvent or have owners/directors that are an undischarged bankrupt.
How funding is available?
Minimum funding is $7,500 and maximum funding is $15,000. But you must co-contribute 30% of the total project costs.
To achieve the minimum funding your project needs to be at least $10,715 ex GST
Eligible Expenses under the QLD Business Boost Grants Program Round 2
The QLD Business Boost Grants Program Round 2 will fund project activities in any of the following three priorities
Future planning
- Strategic business planning for innovation or growth
- Implementing a governance board to guide strategic planning
- Exporting opportunities and requirements
- Compliance with industry regulations and standards
Specialised and automated software
- Design and implementation of management systems, including: data warehouses: asset management; customer relationship management systems; risk management; production systems; project management systems; quality and compliance management.
- Bespoke or complex website or application design and build, including: e-commerce; software integration; booking systems; cybersecurity tools; webinar/conferencing; customer accounts/logins; paywalls
Staff management, development and planning
- Human resource management skills building
- Professional development and training
- Digital workplace plans and systems for a remote workforce
Not the QLD Business Boost Grants Program Round 2 will not fund certain costs including hardware, stand alone marketing, travel and salaries.
Application Process for the QLD Business Boost Grants Program Round 2
The application process is via 2 stages:
- Stage 1: Registration of Interest (ROI) which opens 9am, 12 August 2022 and closes at 11.59pm, 19 August 2022
- Stage 2: Full application – where selected applications from Stage 1 will be invited to submit a full application. Full applications will open for submission at 9am, 29 August 2022 and close at 11.59pm, 12 September 2022.
Note this process is not an automatic process. In stage 1 all valid ROIs will go into a ballot and a certain number of applicants will be selected.
If you are lucky and get selected in the stage 1 ballot, your round 2 full application will be competitively assessed against all other successful stage 1 applicants. Note the full application will require you to provide more information including supplier quotes (no more than two) detailing description and costs of services, who will undertake the project/activity, and an outline of key services and output. You may want to have these before you lodge your stage 1 ROI so as to ensure this is as accurate as possible.
