QLD Accelerating Female Founders Program Round 2
The QLD Accelerating Female Founders program will assist Queensland female founders to take their innovative businesses to the next stage.
The Fund provides grants from $50,000 to $200,000 toward the development and delivery of business support initiatives to be delivered within a maximum 24-month timeframe.
Applications are sought from organisations targeting one of the business support initiatives:
- Early stage initiatives with one or more of the following components: Incubator, pre-accelerator, startup business development acumen, mentoring and advocacy
- Later stage initiatives with one or more of the following components: Accelerator, Scaleup business development acumen, mentoring and advocacy.
For Round 2, applications which propose initiatives specifically targeting Indigenous, regional, youth (18-25 years), or other identified diverse groups, will be highly regarded.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this grant, applicants must:
- have an ABN and be registered for GST
- be Queensland based (being based in, or having an office located in, Queensland), or provide the details of Queensland based subcontractor(s)/key personnel who will be utilised to develop/deliver the business support initiative
- must be an organisation – not a sole trader
Eligible Use of Grant Funds
Fund can be used that are related to the development and delivery of the business support initiative covering:
- subsidised costs for Queensland female founders’ participation in the business support initiative
- staffing costs to develop/deliver the business support initiative
- resource materials and other reasonable costs associated with delivery of the business support initiative
- selected travel costs to support regional participation
- publicity, communication and marketing activities to recruit Queensland female founder participants for the business support initiative
Ineligible Expenditure
The grants must not be used for activities which include:
- costs associated with securing and/or managing the grant funding (e.g. grant writers and bookkeeping costs)
- general business operating costs, including but not limited to rent, rates, electricity, water, internet, insurance, software, accounting fees, legal fees
Assessment Criteria
The main assessment criteria include:
- Significance of the funding opportunity/proposed initiative
- Strength of applicant organisation
- Value for money
- Sustainability and Resilience
