International Travel Fund Round 2 for Creatives

The International Travel Fund supports international travel costs associated with Australian artists, creative workers and organisations attending significant market development platforms or key gatherings overseas in the period 15 October 2025 and 30 June 2026.

You can apply for a flat amount of $5,000 or $10,000 or $15,000 or $20,000 only. Requests for other amounts will not be accepted.

Priority will be given to applications supporting travel to Yokohama Performing Arts Meeting (YPAM) 2025, London Book Fair 2026, Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2026, and the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) Congress in Singapore.

Note contemporary music practitioners are not eligible — they should access funding via Music Australia’s Export Development Fund instead

Who is Eligible?

To be eligible you must be:

An individual, group, or organisation (including small businesses).
Australian citizens or permanent residents, whether based domestically or internationally
Working in the following arts practices:
community arts and cultural development
dance
emerging and experimental arts
First Nations arts and culture
literature
multi-art form
music, excluding contemporary music
theatre
visual arts.

Eligible Costs

Eligible Costs include

Flights, accommodation, per diems, ground transport, visas, travel insurance
Registration fees for fairs and markets
Promotional materials and marketing costs linked to attendance
Artist or creative worker fees (aligned to industry benchmarks)
Childcare, carer or access costs
Measures to reduce environmental impact
Freight and baggage costs

Excluded activities:

Touring, exhibitions or presentations
Non-market or presentation-only travel
Reciprocal residencies or labs
Contemporary music events
