Keep Going Forward

The current business climate reminds me of a trip we did across the Simpson Desert a couple of years ago. While crossing the desert it rained. As you can see in the video, turning the tracks to mud.

We had a choice. Sit still and wait till everything was dry again, whenever that was going to be. Or keep moving forward till we got out of the desert. No point going back because that was where the rain was going.

And just like what many businesses are experiencing at the moment, the truck was never always 100% under control, slipping and sliding all over the place as the track took you where it wanted to. Sometimes you even struggled to see what was coming next and you never knew what was under the water and mud.

But you could not afford to stop forward momentum otherwise you would get bogged and stuck for potentially a long time.

And that’s my key message for any business currently struggling under the mud and water of COVID-19 shutdowns. Keep Going Forward. Eventually you will find your track out of this.
