ACT Energy Innovation Fund 2024
The ACT Energy Innovation Fund strives to make the ACT a a place of opportunity for clean energy research, innovation and investment.
Funding Streams
There are 3 funding streams under the ACT Energy Innovation Fund
Funding stream 1: Technology Demonstration Grant to support energy transition innovation, with potential to export outside the ACT. Matched funding from $50,000 to $1m.
Funding stream 2: Policy Challenge Grant to supporting energy transition policy innovation in the ACT. Funding from $20,000 to $500,000.
Funding stream 3: Innovation Ecosystem Grant to build energy innovation ecosystems in the ACT. Funding from $30,000 to $300,000. Mainly targeted at innovation clusters and business accelerators.
General Eligibility
Be an ACT based business with an ABN.
Projects funded by Energy Innovation Fund Grants must align with the following research and education in science, engineering and social sciences, and business sectors:
- Renewable energy generation
- Energy storage
- Power generation asset management
- Distributed energy resources (DER) and market integration
- Electrification in the transport, residential and commercial sectors
- Renewable hydrogen
- Energy efficiency and demand management solutions
- Digital enabling technologies for the energy transition
- Distribution and transmission network operations
