Apprentice Wage Subsidy
Note to be eligible for the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements scheme, you need to hire your apprentice or trainee by 30 June 2022.
The Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements scheme, is an apprentice or trainee wage subsidy funded by the Federal Government.
Under this scheme the subsidies available are:
- up to 50 per cent of an apprentice or trainee’s wages of up to a maximum of $7,000 per quarter for 12 months for the first year (Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements (BAC) wage subsidy);
- up to 10 per cent of an apprentice or trainee’s wages of up to a maximum of $1,500 per quarter for 12 months for the second year (Completing Apprenticeship Commencements (CAC) wage subsidy);
- up to 5 per cent of an apprentice or trainee’s wages of up to a maximum of $750 per quarter for 12 months for the third year (CAC wage subsidy)
These subsidies apply to apprentices or trainees employed between 5 October 2020 and 30 June 2022.
