Business Closure
According to data released yesterday by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Covid 19 has not yet had a major impact on business closure rates.
Based on this data, 749,449 businesses that were in existence in June 2017, did not survive a further 4 years till June 2021. This is a business closure rate of 35.1%
This compares to the:
- 758,028 businesses that were in existence in June 2016, that did not survive till June 2020. A closure rate of 34.9%.
- 744,567 businesses that were in existence in June 2016, that did not survive till June 2020. A closure rate of 35.1%.
