Dine & Discover Extended

Don’t forget the NSW Dine and Discover Program has been extended to 30 June 2022 with NSW residents getting 2 more $25 dine and discover vouchers.  1 for eating out, and another for recreation and entertainment.

If your business is in the eating out, recreation or entertainment space and you have not registered for the NSW Dine & Discover Program, I recommend that you do now, so you too can share in some of the money people are spending to support your industry under the Dine & Discover Extended program.

Read below to find out more.

Dine & Discover Extended

If your business is in the dining, arts or tourism business and is NSW based, you should seriously consider registering your business now to be eligible for the Dine & Discover NSW program.

Under this program, every NSW resident aged 18 and over will be eligible for vouchers that can be used for:

  • eating in at restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and clubs.
  • entertainment and recreation, including cultural institutions, live music, and arts venues.

Note the vouchers cannot be used for retail, tobacco, alcohol, gambling or accommodation.

So, if a customer comes into your eligible business, and spends $40, they pay you $15 and the NSW government pays you $25.  In this case, the customer gets a discount of over 60%.

Now unless you want your potential customers to go next door and get this discount from someone else, you need to register your business.

Business eligibility rules

To be eligible for Dine & Discover NSW, your business needs to:

  • have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST.
  • comply with the current public health order and latest COVID safety guidelines for your industry.
  • operate in NSW in one of the following eligible industries:
  1. cafes and restaurants
  2. pubs, taverns, bars and clubs
  3. scenic and sightseeing transport
