Growing your income is about what problems you solve for other people

People don’t buy what you do.  They buy when you help solve a problem for them

And here is an even more important idea, the bigger the problem you solve the more money you can get paid.

Here is someone here who is drowning.  Do they care whether you have a life buoy, a rope, a ballon, whatever?

They don’t care do they.

So one of the things you have to remember when you thinking about your business and talking about your strategy, people don’t buy what you do.  They buy when you help solve a problem for them.  If they don’t have a problem, they are not going to buy from you.

The next thing to understand is that people will pay more to have bigger problems solved

Let’s say for example you have a wart on your finger, or you have to go and get brain surgery.  Who are you more willing to pay money to?

The GP who is going to remove the wart, or the surgeon who is going to operate on your brain?

Who would you pay more too?

Now in theory the guy doing the brain surgery could be a brain surgeon for 2 years. It could be his first or second operation.  The GP who removes the wart could have been a GP for 40 years.  38 years more experience and knowledge.  But you are not paying for the more experience in this situation.  You are paying for the fact that an injury or an operation on your brain is a bigger problem than a wart on your finger. So you are prepared to pay more money to get that problem solved.

So one of the things in your business, you want to keep thinking of the fact that your business is about solving problems for people, and what are the biggest problems in that business I can solve
