JobMaker our current industrial relations system is not fit for purpose
Have just watched Scott Morrison and his speech at the National Press Club today talking about his JobMaker scheme.
Scott Morrison finally admitted that our current industrial relations system is not fit for purpose and needed fixing.
If the focus of the JobMaker scheme is to get people back in jobs, things that Scott Morrison says will need to be addressed include award simplification and clarity around casual and fixed term employees.
If we can make it simpler for business owners to employ staff and understand their obligations, then this is great news.
Now all we need is for all parties to look at this with open eyes so we get a fair outcome for all.
