November 2020 Australian Jobs Data
The November 2020 Australian Jobs Data released yesterday shows another 90,000 people being employed in November. Victoria in particular continues to bounce back from extended shut downs with 74,000 more people employed in Victoria in November. This means in 2 months, Victoria has added over 155,000 jobs.
NSW, WA and Tasmania had jobs growth as well. QLD on the other hand lost over 20,000 jobs.
Between February and May, there was over 877,000 jobs lost. Between June and November, 734,000 of these jobs have been recovered.
But we are experiencing a shift in employment. Nearly 525,000 of these employed people found part time or casual work. As a result, in November, there were nearly 18,000 more part time workers than there was in February. Full time employment in the November is still over 160,000 below February.
