If you missed out on the NSW Covid-19 Business Grant, JobSaver or the Micro Business Grant, you may have a second chance under the Covid-19 Business Hardship Review Panel.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply to the hardship review panel, you must demonstrate that you:

• do not meet the eligibility criteria for a 2021 COVID-19 business grant, COVID-19 micro-business grant or JobSaver payment, or
• have had your applications for COVID-19 business support refused because you cannot demonstrate the required decline in aggregated turnover or do not meet the minimum annual turnover requirements, and
• are experiencing financial hardship as a result of NSW public health orders.

To prove financial hardship, you must demonstrate that: 

• your business is at imminent risk of closure,
• you are unable to pay for operating costs, such as rent or worker-related expenses, and/or
• you will be forced to reduce employee headcount.

Non-employing businesses may also need to demonstrate that they are unable to provide themselves or their immediate families a modest standard of living.

You must also demonstrate that:

• you have not engaged in excessive and non-essential expenditure
• your decline in revenue is due to the impact of NSW public health orders, rather than the result of normal business operations
• it is not practical to rearrange finances or draw upon non-essential assets to continue to operate.
