NSW Going Global Export Program – Food and Beverage to India
If you an Food and Beverage business thinking of expanding to the India, the NSW Going Global Export Program – Food and Beverage to India program may be for you.
Eligible businesses can apply for support to export packaged and processed foods, and non-alcoholic beverages to India.
The program released in September 2023 for the NSW Going Global Export Program – Food and Beverage to India is focused on the activity period November 2023 to April 2024 with a key event AAHAR International Food and Hospitality Fair Delhi.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the overall NSW Going Global Program your business:
- Have headquarters in NSW with a valid ABN
- Be export-capable and export-ready
- Have between 5 and 199 full-time equivalent employees
- The product or service is achieving sales already
- Have a website featuring the product or service
- Be prepared to adapt the product or service for the market
- Have a product or service that is produced primarily in NSW
Additional eligibility requirements for the Food and Beverage to India stream
- Attend in-person at AAHAR Delhi5-9 March 2024, and its associated in-market program.
- The processed and packaged F&B items must have minimum shelf life of 6 months
- Understand and be able to comply with Indian import duties and taxes
- Be able to dedicate staff to work on India market expansion.
- Have a draft India Market Entry strategy or plan
- Production capability to support the new market
- Ability to negotiate on export pricing
Businesses not eligible for this stream:
- Products containing beef or beef by-products such as gelatin
- Alcoholic beverages
- Horticulture products such as fresh fruit and vegetables
Note you can only apply for one stream at a time.
