NSW Going Global Food and Beverage to the UK
If you are a food and beverage business and thinking of expanding to the UK, the NSW Going Global Export Program Food and Beverage to the UK may be for you.
The program runs from November 2023 to March 2024 and includes the International Food & Drink Event (IFE) London.
What the NSW Going Global Export Program – Food and Beverage to the UK covers
You get access to:
- Market intelligence briefings including Introduction to Food and Beverage ecosystem and doing business in the United Kingdom
- in-market assistance and logistical support
- Potential partner search and introductions.
- Ongoing advice and follow up.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the overall NSW Going Global Program your business:
- Have headquarters in NSW with a valid ABN
- Be export-capable and export-ready
- Have between 5 and 199 full-time equivalent employees
- The product or service is achieving sales already
- Have a website featuring the product or service
- Be prepared to adapt the product or service for the market
- Have a product or service that is produced primarily in NSW
Additional eligibility requirements for the Food and Beverage to the UK stream:
- Trademark registration for the United Kingdom – or be prepared to complete registration before 22 December 2024
- Product registration for the United Kingdom – or be prepared to complete registration before 15 January 2024
- Product stock is already in the United Kingdom – or be prepared to have stock samples available in market by 15 January 2024
- Ensure product stock for trade show is shipped by 15 January 2024.
Businesses not eligible for this stream:
- Exporters already earning more than $250k (AUD) from UK customers in the last financial year
- Live seafood and fresh produce
Note you can only apply for one stream at a time.
