NSW Heat Pump Feasibility Grant
The Heat Pump Feasibility Grant is for eligible NSW businesses to assess whether a heat pump is a feasible option for their site.
You can apply for up to $30,000 to cover 75% of the project costs.
What the Heat Pump Feasibility Grant Covers
The grant supports three key milestones:
- Milestone 1 – Heat Pump Screening: Up to $5,000 (75% funding) for an initial consultant site assessment to identify barriers like metering gaps, electrical limits, or spatial constraints
- Milestone 2 – Heat Pump Design: Detailed design development based on site data.
- Milestone 3 – Feasibility Study: Up to $25,000 (75% subsidy) for a comprehensive technical and financial feasibility report.
Eligibility Criteria
You must meet all of the following:
- Be an Australian business with an ABN and registered for GST and operate a site in NSW
- Use 5,000 to 100,000 GJ/year of gas (excluding transport fuel)
- Have already engaged a specialist consultant(s) who meets NSW guidelines
Only one application per business is allowed; related entities may submit only one application per entity, up to two in total.
