NSW Metering Plan Implementation grants
The NSW Metering Plan implementation grants program aims to fund the cost of implementing the recommendations from approved metering and monitoring plans to enable energy productivity improvements.
Grants of up to $100,000 are available per site (up to 3 grants per business) to cover up to 50% of the project costs.
Eligibility
Eligible businesses must:
- have an energy metering and monitoring plan no more than 3 years old accurately reflecting the current processes and systems on site. Note you may be able to apply for the NSW Metering and Monitoring Planning initiative to get the cost of this plan subsidised Click here to learn more about this.
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST.
- Be a business with a complex energy system
- Be a site or facility located in NSW spending more than $200,000 on energy annually per site, including all purchased fuels, except fuel for transport.
Eligible Costs
Eligible Costs include:
- Costs to install and commission permanent submeters that are required for measuring energy performance
- Hardware and integration with software needed to monitor energy use
- First year subscription to data management systems
Note the grant will not cover internal project management or labour costs.
