Update to JobSaver and Micro Business Grant for NSW Businesses 30 September 2021

The NSW and Federal Government on 30 September announced significant changes to the NSW JobSaver and the Micro Business Grant Programs.

Note applications have now closed for both the NSW Jobsaver and Micro Business Grant Programs.

JobSaver

Currently, the JobSaver payment for eligible businesses and not-for-profit organisations with employees is 40% of Weekly Payroll for work performed in New South Wales provided:

The minimum payment will be $1,500 per week, and
The maximum payment will be $100,000 per week.

Eligible businesses and not-for-profit organisations that do not have any employees receive $1,000 per week.

Under the new rules announced today, the payments will taper as the state reaches 70% and 80% double dose vaccination targets and will cease on 30 November 2021.

Micro Business Grant

Currently the Micro Business Grant is $1,500 per fortnight for all eligible businesses.

Once NSW reaches 80% double dose vaccination rates (expected late October), this will drop to $750 per fortnight ceasing on 30 November 2021.
