Victorian Venture Growth Fund

The Victorian Venture Growth Fund aims to offer eligible high-growth startups access to venture credit of between $50,000 and $5 million to help create jobs and drive economic growth.

Venture Credit

Venture credit is a fancy word for loans and the Venture Growth Fund is managed by OneVentures and Lighter Capital. Both managers will be responsible for managing the assets of the fund and making all the investment decisions.

It is expected that the Venture Growth Fund will:

Make loans of between $500,000 and $5 million through OneVentures
Make loans of between $50,000 and $2 million through Lighter Capital ..
Make loans that are typically covenant light.
Not require personal director guarantees.

Note the interest rates will reflect the relatively high-risk nature of startup investments.

Eligible applicants include high-growth startups across Victoria that

Increase the level of investment in start-ups.
Upskill the workforce in Victoria.
Develop new industries.
Support job creation and economic growth
